AT&T Boosts 3G speeds by 20%....just in time

It was reported yesterday by Apple Insider (among others) that AT&T has boosted their 3G speeds just as the new iPhone is coming out.

Customers on the network should now achieved download speeds between 700 Kbps (kilobits per second) and 1.7 Mbps (megabits per second), up from 600 Kbps to 1.4 Mbps. Meanwhile, upload speeds should jump to the 500 Kbps - 1.2 Mbps range, up from 500 to 800 Kbps.

Did I MENTION I am getting an iPhone as soon as my Sprint contract ends in early July? May explain my dreams and constant chatter about it.
