These guys/gals from Portland, OR rock. Not only is their name the coolest, they have such a unique and powerful sound. I have been trying to get into them for 6 months when my coworker/music nut Michael exposed them to me. I was never able to grasp their singer's voice, mostly. The music was ok. Then came The Crane Wife. An amazing album that changed all my perceptions. We saw them Tuesday night at the Paramount Theatre. Even though the singer was sick with a nasty cold+altitude kicker, he did an amazing job. I highly recommend you try them.
