Busy Week. New paper, Weddings, Stuff

Hello, and sorry for the delay. Umm, it was a busy week.
CAs friend Holly got married. So the rehearsal dinner was Friday night. Good food. Saturday BIG and exciting news! The Wall Street Journal came out with their first Weekend Edition. They have changed the layout a bit with three refers at the top in color and have a few new sections. I like the angles of news and living stories. Thanks for keeping me in-the-know.
So, stepping back a few days, Thursday night CA asked me what I planned on wearing to the wedding on Saturday. I replied, "well, i have my standard wedding attire, the blue blazer, gray wool pants and a tie." she said I better try it on, so I dug them all out of the closet and when I presented myself to her, there was a pause and she says.."uh, nope, I don't think that's going to work." One look in the mirror and I knew why. Apparently since the last wedding I went to, I have lost weight. The jacket hung on me, too broad shouldered, and the pants were baggy and misshapen. So...I started looking for other apparel to satisfy both our ideals. To no avail. So we came up with an alternate plan that had me in a these new gray pants, and white shirt and tie. I am not the sharpest dressed man at the Ball, ever, but when I go to a wedding now, I want to wear something relatively fly and I must have a jacket. So on Saturday morning after Christy left to take the Bride for the rest of the afternoon for pre-wedding fixes like getting hair done and "wedding first aid" supplies, I headed to the mall to see what I could find. I called in my back-ups, Erica-was too busy with work and a wedding, and Roxann-she was free. Someone needed to accompany me to make sure I wouldn't walk out mismatched. So before Roxann could even meet me at JCrew, I had found my new suit! It is a navy blue jacket and pants. Simple, classic. You know, just like Moi. When she showed up, I got the thumbs up with a little convincing that I will get it altered just a smidge. And I will. Thanks Rox. So, I went home and cleaned the house to burn off the burrito I got on the way home. The wedding was nice. The bride was white and crying, but what caught my eye the most was my girlfriend walking down the isle. Three people commented to me on how hot she looked and I said "Yeah!, wow! THAT is my girlfriend!" It went for about an hour, which was shorter than we all thought since after seeing the wordy program it looked like we would be there for three. After the wedding we all met at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science where the reception was being held. What a gorgeous venue. It overlooks downtown Denver and the mountains. Cocktails and hors'd ovres were served on main level, and you could walk up three more levels to the overlook deck that did just that. It was incredible. The dinner was salmon and/or roast beef, it was a buffet style with goodies. The dancing took place on the second level where you could look out over the city as you while shaking it to YMCA. Good times.
