I know I just posted about the new iPod Shuffle colors, but I thought this is a better picture and headline.
I think I am green. Or maybe orange.

The Speakeasy Speed Test.

Miniature-Earth is an idea of statistics if you could turn the population of the Earth into 100 people with the same proportions, here is what you would get. It is thought provoking at the least. Nice Flash presentation. Clean, simple, and elegant with rich grays and smart use of color and fonts.
Calling all readers. I need your advice.
I don't know too much about the D50 but It has gotten some good reviews and for the price, seems very comparable to the Digital Rebel XT.
I have good luck using our Canon Digital Rebel at work, but I have two good friends that both use Nikon. They both have given me their input and that input says go with either because the are both good for what I want to use it for: Action shots of dogs, weather, yard shots, and some nature and traveling. All of the websites I have perused, CNET, PriceGrabber.com, DPREVIEW- offers side-by-side comparisons of all major camera brands, I love this site. And, even Consumer Reports, all present useful data and informative reviews, but I am still up in the air and think some personal references would be helpful.
Budget: $700
Uses: Catching dogs in the act of play, mischief, and being cute. SNOW. Yard photos. Nature photos. Product shots.
Any info on Nikon or Canon Rebels, would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Last night was the annual Bowling with Nuggets at Lucky Strike in the Denver Pavillions.
Sam and Tim played pool against A.I. (Allan Iverson) and whipped their butts. They both got AI signed jerseys. Allan is a very cool cat and one awesome player at that. I did not get a chance to hang with him, but he was bowling next to us and he seemed really nice. You'd think I could come up with some better words but no, I can't.
This is a major move from Netflix. When I first read the article I almost did a hip hip horray but once I got into the paragraphs, I wanted to kick the dog! Come on, Microsoft's Windows ONLY? No support for Mac? I guess that shows the marketshare leverage and what Netflix thinks (and knows) most of their subscribers use. But still. I commend Netflix for moving in this direction and will hold out hope that soon I can watch a new movie on my Mac, but until then, if for some reason I desire a DVD that is not in the house or not on top of our TV, that I bump my wife off her office chair, get a bucket of popcorn and take over the Dell.

This weekend, Apple gained a convert, and the PC world lost another home user. Meet Marcus.

I epitomize the PC guy in the MAC commercials. Work in finance. Live in Excel. Balding and not very hip. Having been frustrated with my Dell after it seems to have picked up a permanent virus that slowed it to a halt, we bought an iMac on the recommendation of Dave. I do rely on Powerpoint to build presentations, which despite years of use continues to astound me at how difficult it can be to use and create graphics. The iMac is very easy to use and includes programs that are simply superior, such as Keynote - the MAC version of Powerpoint. Powerpoint, however, has been very good at building presentations that only include bullet points, helping cure insomnia among those sitting through a presentation. While there is a learning curve changing to a Mac, already I notice why it's so attractive to users. Also, there have been some nice surprises, such as the built-in iSight camera that I used for video chats with my family in KY. (Thanks for the free lesson, Dave!) PC users probably have similar programs, yet really the ease of use, getting it up and running and then being able to explain to my parents (a true miracle) how to get their new Mac set up to video conference made it all worth while. We are looking forward to discovering more great uses such as editing video, photos, etc.

This person commented on one of my flickr photos, so I followed the link to these wonderfully painted ornaments.

I think Blurbomat said it best. The new iPhone slash iPod slash WiFi internet device RULES! I need a washcloth.
Today we are standing out on our work's balcony watching over on the Capitol as Bill Ritter takes over as our Governor from Bill Owens. My coworkers loved the fraise I coined-- "Out with the Owens in with the New ones" so much that I had to claim it here.
