OK, Let's.....ROCK!

You know that saying "when the cat's away, the mice will play?" well, this Mouse broke out his big Marshall 100 Watt 1/2 stack in the living room ( is it possible to smell cobwebs?), plugged in the Les Paul, and broke in some new strings and songs. I think I scared Gibson. But his namesake was rocking with the Marshall so he couldn't be too upset.

----
In other news, it is still freakin' snowing...but it's good for the soil. Christy is away in CT right now, so she is missing this yucky mess, but i guess they are getting downpours there as well, in rain form. Will Monday ever come?
----
In more news, I just got Mac OSX Tiger IT ROCKS! I love the new Mail interface, and the Dashboard is incredible. Now I have weather, a decent weather program, that is, on my desktop at all times.

Sore but accomplished

Well, the race went well. I ran with Bill, Jeff, Erica, Amy, Kristin and Colleen. It was a fine day for running. Maybe a bit too chilly, but once the blood started pumping, it got warm. We did not see our exact times but I think I finished in 50 minutes. NOT BAD for a novice. Body is racked today, but I feel every cell in my body and it's good to know you have that many cells! After the race we went over to Amy's house in Wash Park. She had an elaborate spread of food. Turns out we all have another Denver crossover friend. Mark Chapman. Denver is funny that way.

Got a call from my old bandmate Rob Freeman on Friday. It was good to hear his voice and semi get caught up on his life. He has just graduated Flight school in the Army. Scary but he will be going to Iraq to fly helicopters in July. Dude, what happened to long hair, jamming on the bass and drinking Old Mill? Congrats!

Run, Run, Run

Well, today was the final prep for the Cherry Creek Sneak. I ran on the treadmill and lifted. Taking a day of rest tomorrow, and then getting up bright and early on Sun, picking up my runner friend, erica, and then doing the 5 mile race. I am a bit ambivalent since I have never, in all my training and races, run over 4 miles. I am hoping the pack mentality will push me to the finish line.

It's been a long time....

Boy, when the snow flies, I stop working.
I have two new additions to my blog today.
first, is Kim Sharp's blog, and second is a blog about being a dork by Erin Enwall. Both girls are co-workers and have been inspired by my blog. Kim will be posting a cat pic a day and erin, well, who the hell knows. both are very creative designers so I am sure they will be a treat, so keep an eye on them, won't you.

in other news....
it's YARD TIME! I have been turning compost piles, mowing, seeding, fertilizing and raking. Oh what fun.....really! I am so into this yard stuff, I could take a few days just to work in the yard/garden.

I have also been planning a new patio garden design for the "back 40". I will post the designs once they are finished.

Also: We went to Seattle and the only pic I took was this:

In other news.... did I post this yet? Christy got a new job, jeez. Anyway, she left her past job cuz they basically closed down. She is now not downtown, but out in Commerce City, Henderson, to be exact. We miss her down here but she is making big waves tho and cleaning up the place with her wicked wit and computer skills. She has already brought homemade dog biscuits to the boys and is constantly staring at the new picture coffee mug I made her.

April "Showers?"

What? Ok, I have been waiting for a snow like this ALL winter. It started around 3AM Saturday ( Sunday morning ) and has not stopped. Last time I checked....and shoveled, we had about 9 inches. Here are a few pics. Gibson refused to go out in it, but has aired himself twice, reluctantly.

Brian Wilson has left the "building."

Last night, we all met at Hapa Sushi in Cherry Creek to bid farewell to our design friend, Brian, who is moving to Seattle. Lucky bastard! I met Brian at CheapTickets.com. He was an inspiration to us all, bringing in articles on design and could spend hours discussing design trends and techniques and he was always up for a Starbucks run as well. Good luck in the Emerald City and keep in touch, man.

Aquapets...fun for the office!

Our office got three of these today! They are awesome. Check'em out.
Mine, Mumpster, burps, and squaks and we think, farts. Perfect for our cube in the studio!
There are two kinds. Liquifreaks and Aquapets. The are voice activated, so when you talk to it, it bounces and makes noises. We put two of them face to face, and they began talking to each other, dancing, bouncing, and making obscene noises. Mumpster is the most vulgar.

Lindsay Lohan

Ok, ok, I know. After Mean Girls, I took a closer look.
I just got Freak Friday on DVD, and CD, and her latest album, Speak.
And then a co-worker passed on this scathing entry from the NYPress's Yearly Hit List to me.

By Buddy Erich and Egypt!

Here are some photos from my friend Erich and his girlfriend Yuliya whom just got back from Egypt. Lucky ducks! He said the pyramids ( are like schemes) watch out for the tourist traps. NEVER take a tour either. Do your research and go it on your own.
